Henry and Delilah would have had a relationship, but the latter refuses to get closer, so the two are separated until a fire consumes the forest. While the ending in Firewatch isn’t as dramatic as the first, it doubles down on its narrative ambitions in the final act. The final ending has the same character arc, but with a different outcome. In the original script, Delilah would have gone cold on Henry and called him crazy, but this was not the ending that was produced. The second ending is slightly less satisfying, but is still enjoyable. Later, he finds the body of Brian Goodwin, the son of Ned Goodwin. There is a secret hidden in a cave, and Henry becomes paranoid and begins to suspect that he is being watched. It becomes apparent that there are people out there trying to steal Henry’s life and equipment. The first is a very depressing storyline, and the player is placed in the role of Henry.
